Special Programs and Events
February 28
- In late February the entire cemetery and mausoleums are cleaned to get ready for the upcoming growing season. All decorations will be removed, whether they are placed on the ground or in vases or on top of the monuments. If there is something that you want to keep, please have them removed before this date.
March 10
- After the spring clean-up in late February, grave decorations can be replaced or new spring decorations can be added to your loved one’s grave.
May
- The 3rd Sunday in May David’s conducts a Memorial Service to honor our Veterans of the United States. VFW Post #2800 and the Dayton Letter Carrier’s Band conduct the memorial service for our Veterans at the flag pole next to the Veterans Monument, near David Road. If you need additional information, please call the cemetery anytime.
May
- On Memorial Day Weekend – American flags are placed along our roadways to honor our Veterans. If you have a loved one who served in the military, please remove a flag from the roadway and place on their grave site.
May-June
- All Memorial Day decorations will be removed one week after the holiday.
October-November
- Wreath Sale – David’s wreath program starts in late October. At this
time David’s begins taking orders for beautiful 24” live wreaths. These
wreaths are placed on each grave before the December holidays. A local
Boy Scout Troop handles the sale and placement of the wreaths.

November
- The day after Thanksgiving is a very important date for the cemetery, a time for the cemetery to get ready for the winter months. This is major clean up time for the entire cemetery including the mausoleums. All decorations will be removed, whether they are placed on the ground or in vases or on top of the monument. If there is something you want to keep, please have them removed before Thanksgiving Day.
December 1st
- Starting December 1st winter decorations may be placed on your loved one’s grave.
December
- The first Saturday in December, a local Boy Scout Troop, places holiday wreaths on the Wreath Program participant’s graves. This is truly a great site. Over 1200 wreaths have been sold in the past which makes our cemetery festive and a beautiful holiday sight.
December
- On Christmas Eve cemetery volunteers place over 4,000 luminaries throughout cemetery. The luminaries are lit at 5 pm and continue to burn until midnight (depending on weather). This is a wonderful site to share with friends and family.
